Freddie Flintoff is Pink Stumps Day Ambassador

Former England cricket captain Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff has joined the McGrath Foundation as the 2016 ambassador for Pink Stumps Day.

This summer, the McGrath Foundation is once again inviting communities across Australia to show off their cricket skills and fundraise for the Foundation’s annual Pink Stumps Day.

‘Hosting a Pink Stumps Day is a great opportunity to have some fun with your mates and do your bit to raise money for the McGrath Foundation,’ Flintoff said.

‘All the funds raised will go towards placing McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia who provide important support for families. I’ve got a few friends who have lost wives from breast cancer so I understand how important a support service like this is.’

Simply by registering for a Pink Stumps Day, you will have the chance to win a special visit from McGrath Foundation President and Co-founder, Glenn McGrath. Not only that, anyone who registers before February 1, 2016 will go in the draw to win one of 50 cricket balls signed by Glenn.

The official Pink Stumps Day is on Saturday February 20, 2016, but you can get your local community involved and host your Pink Stumps Day anytime up to the end of April 2016.

Registrations are limited and spaces are filling fast so register today.

Everyone who registers can choose to receive a Pink Stumps Day cricket kit that includes everything you need to pink up your game.

By going in to bat for the McGrath Foundation you will be helping fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses across Australia and to increase breast awareness in young people.
