Asking for donations in lieu of gifts
Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, wedding or other occasion, asking your guests for a donation rather than a gift is a special way to show you care. All donations help fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses who support families experiencing breast cancer in communities across Australia. You can choose to create a fundraising page to share with friends and family or simply make a one-off donation. There are many ways you can help, whether that’s through a generous donation or hosting your own fundraiser (Virtually of course!).
Emma’s 7th Birthday
Emma hosted her 7th birthday party as a fundraiser for the McGrath Foundation to help families like hers. Emma’s mum Christel was undergoing treatment after a diagnosis of Triple Negative Breast Cancer at age 37 and was supported by a McGrath Breast Care Nurse. Emma smashed her target of $1,000 and raised an incredible $2,280 for families going through breast cancer. Thank you Emma!
A wedding is a very special event for a couple so we understand how significant a donation in lieu of a gift is. We can help you add the McGrath Foundation to your registry. For more ways we can help contact the team at email@example.com
Share the love with your guests with a donation rather than traditional wedding favours. We can send you bomboniere cards, so your family and friends know a donation has been made in their honour. For an extra special touch, contact the team to discuss other options for your wedding day.
Bridal shower/kitchen tea
Bride to Be or Maid of Honour? Hosting a virtual high tea for the McGrath Foundation can help theme this special event, bring it to life and give it extra meaning as you will be helping support individuals and families experiencing breast cancer.
If you have any questions about donating, leaving a bequest or our face to face fundraisers, our donor services team are here to help.
