McGrath Foundation And Cricket Australia Thanks Community For Uniting In Pink This NRMA Insurance Pink Test

The McGrath Foundation, Cricket Australia and the SCG today thanked everyone across Australia who purchased Virtual Pink Seats, helping to unite in pink for the 16th NRMA Insurance Pink Test.

More than 322,000 Pink Seats have been sold, raising more than $6.44m to reach our goal of 250 McGrath Breast Care Nurses right across the country.

McGrath Foundation Co-Founder & President, Glenn McGrath, expressed his gratitude for the support given by Australians.

“The Virtual Pink Seats sold during the 2024 Pink Test will allow the McGrath Foundation to fund 250 McGrath Breast Care Nurses this year to ensure no one goes through breast cancer without the care of a breast care nurse.

“The generosity of the Australian public is incredible and to see so many people uniting in pink to support the McGrath Foundation has been overwhelming. To every person who has purchased a Virtual Pink Seat, whether from home or at the ground, thank you, we are so incredibly grateful.

“I’d also like to say an enormous thank you to our partners at Cricket Australia and the SCG; this incredible event gets bigger every year and it wouldn’t be possible without them,” said McGrath.

Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley said he was proud of the partnership and extremely grateful for the generous support given during the NRMA Insurance Pink Test.

“We are immensely proud to partner with the McGrath Foundation to make a real difference to the lives of Australian families experiencing breast cancer.

“Again, this year we have seen the Pink Test bring together the cricket and broader community and we would like to thank everyone for supporting such a great cause.

“We would also like to thank NRMA Insurance and all of our broadcast and commercial partners for their invaluable support of the McGrath Foundation and the Pink Test.”

Venues NSW CEO, Kerrie Mather is thrilled to see the way cricket fans and the broader public have united to support the Sydney Pink Test and Virtual Pink Seat campaign.

“It’s been incredible to see the SCG a sea of pink all week with huge crowds coming together in their support of Test cricket and the McGrath Foundation.

“The New Year’s Pink Test continues to grow each year and we’re so proud of the impact it has had on the lives of so many Australians over the past 16 years and beyond.”

As the Test wrapped up, NRMA Insurance announced the funding of a second McGrath Breast Care Nurse.

NRMA Insurance Chief Customer and Marketing Officer Michelle Klein said, “NRMA Insurance is proud to support the McGrath Foundation for a second year. We are delighted to donate another $420,000 which will result in a second McGrath Breast Care Nurse funded by NRMA Insurance, providing invaluable support to more families impacted by breast cancer.”
