Drink PINK With Mt Franklin This Spring

Pink is the word this spring, as ‘Mount Franklin’ once again changes colour to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

But this year the lids will be turning hot pink, in recognition of the new support of the McGrath Foundation from ‘Mount Franklin’ ‘ the latest progression in Australia’s premier water brand’s support of breast cancer charities.

‘Mount Franklin’ will be donating $250,000 to the McGrath Foundation in 2010, which will go towards funding McGrath Breast Care Nurses who in turn provide support for women with breast cancer and their families in communities across Australia.

‘Mount Franklin’ was one of the first brands to ‘go pink’ en masse. During the four-year partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, more than $1 million in funds went towards breast cancer research.

Alex Pettigrew, Coca-Cola Amatil’s Marketing Manager, Water, said: ‘We are proud to continue our work with breast cancer charities by supporting the McGrath Foundation. Our progression to focus on the vital support service offered by the McGrath Breast Care Nurses highlights our ongoing commitment to this very worthy cause.

”Mount Franklin’ recognises the importance of such a service and is excited to turn its lids hot pink in support.’

The McGrath Foundation’s Tracy Bevan believes the friendship with ‘Mount Franklin’ is one that will only continue to grow over the next three years.

‘As everyone knows, no one is prouder of seeing a splash of hot pink in the community than the McGrath Foundation. So to be able to walk into a supermarket, convenience store or caf’ and see a hot pink lid and our logo on ‘Mount Franklin’ bottles makes us so proud.

”Mount Franklin’ has shown their true ‘pink’ colours with their pledge of $750,000 over three years and we’re very happy to have them as one of our newest friends joining the fold and going pink for us.

‘The generous support from ‘Mount Franklin’ will help us expand the number of McGrath Breast Care Nurses to provide support, information and education to women experiencing breast cancer and their families, from diagnosis throughout the treatment process,’ said Tracy.

Look out for the new hot pink bottles of ‘Mount Franklin’ Still Water and Lightly Sparkling in stores throughout September and October and join ‘Mount Franklin’ in choosing hot pink to support the McGrath Foundation.
