McGrath Foundation proud to be announced as a charity beneficiary of Dry July for 2020

We’re beyond excited to announce that 2020 will be the second year the McGrath Foundation is a major beneficiary partner of the Dry July Foundation! The funds raised by those choosing to go Dry in July for the McGrath Foundation will help ensure our 143 McGrath Breast Care Nurses can continue to provide support to families experiencing breast cancer across Australia.

This year we’re hoping for an unbelievable result that builds upon the amazing success of 2019, where we were able to fund 7 McGrath Breast Care Nurses across Australia, supporting 900 patients and their families.

There’s no denying that 2020 has been a challenging year, so new options have been introduced to make the challenge of giving up alcohol for the month of July a little easier.

For this year only, Dry July is giving Aussies the opportunity to commit to the original 31 day challenge or the new Dry(ish) July options of 21, or 14 days dry, or to nominate their own time period to take a break from alcohol.

With research from the Dry July Foundation revealing that three in five Australians (61%) admitting to being sober-curious* and an incredible 82% saying they’d benefit from less alcohol in their lives, getting involved in Dry July provides Aussies the opportunity to go alcohol-free for a period of time, while fundraising for a good cause.

So get involved and sign up to go as Dry as you’re willing to try this July for the McGrath Foundation, and challenge your friends, family and workmates to join in and make a donation! By taking part in Dry July, you’ll not only be doing a great thing for your own health – the funds you raise will make an immeasurable difference in the lives of so many Australian families.
