McGrath Foundation Partners with Australian Turf Club for Sydney’s First Pink Raceday

The McGrath Foundation and the Australian Turf Club have announced an innovative new event partnership to mark the launch of Sydney’s First Pink Raceday.

Held on Sunday 14 March on Chandon Ladies Day, Sydney’s First Pink Raceday will see a sea of pink take over Rosehill Gardens in support of the McGrath Foundation. Funds raised on the day will go towards the McGrath Foundation’s mission to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia.

The date also marks the official opening of the 2020 Autumn Racing Carnival and kick-starts the three-week Longines Golden Slipper Carnival. Chandon Ladies Day will be anchored by various fundraising activities across the course, plus the inaugural Pink Fashion Lunch, the feature social event on Chandon Ladies Day and the official fashion lunch of the Sydney Autumn Carnival.

The stylish ticketed event in the Grand Pavilion will feature a specially curated menu by renowned chef and ATC Carnival Ambassador Colin Fassnidge, as well as soon-to-be-announced live entertainment, special guest speaker and a fashion runway, showcasing the very best of Autumn fashion trends. All racegoers will be encouraged to incorporate a splash of pink in to their racewear look.

Corina Black, ATC Executive General Manager of Commercial said that the inaugural Pink Fashion Lunch is a time for Sydney-siders and interstate guests to come together to celebrate racing fashion, food and friendships.

“The Australian Turf Club is thrilled to support the McGrath Foundation and celebrate those devotees at the inaugural Pink Fashion Lunch event, helping to raise important funds for McGrath Breast Care Nurses, who provide invaluable support for those touched by breast cancer.

“We look forward to seeing Sydney’s racing, social and corporate communities rally together this Autumn and transforming Rosehill Gardens into a pink haven to share support for this truly wonderful cause and to building Sydney’s Pink Raceday into an iconic and unmissable annual Carnival event” said Black.

McGrath Foundation CEO Holly Masters thanked the Australian Turf Club for their support.

“We are so grateful and excited to have the opportunity to be a part of Sydney’s first Pink Raceday.

“Unfortunately, everyone will know someone who has been affected by breast cancer, so it’s critical we continue to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia. It’s only through the generosity of the public and partners, such as the Australian Turf Club, that we can continue to ensure people have access to this vital service” said Masters.
