Jane McGrath co-founded the McGrath Foundation with her cricketing husband, Glenn, after her initial recovery from
breast cancer. Jane experienced first hand the shortage of breast care nurses in Australia during her treatment
and became determined to help others in her situation.
Today, the McGrath Foundation aims to educate young women to be ‘breast aware’ as well as raising money to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses.
Two new breast care nurses have been employed through the McGrath Foundation in Moruya and the Bega Valley. The
two nurses combine to fill one full time position funded by the generous donations from the Australian public in
honour of Belinda Emmett.

Soon we shall be announcing the funding of more breast care nurses for Country Health South Australia
and Wide Bay Health Service in Queensland. We shall update our website once funding agreements have
been finalised.
Sutherland District Cricket Club held a 'Tribute to Glenn McGrath' recently to celebrate Glenn's
outstanding cricket career. Alan Jones and Shane Warne attended the evening . Sutherland District
Cricket Club subsequently donated $25,000 to the Foundation from the proceeds.

those who came down to Cronulla Beach on Australia Day to take part in the 2nd Annual Jane McGrath
Classic and congratulations to everyone on a tops effort!
It was perfect conditions for the event with the sun shining and everyone in great spirits, from those with prams and pets doing the walk event to the many contestants who competed in both the 3km walk and the 800m beach run. The day was a huge success with over 170 participants taking place and helping to raise much-needed funds for the McGrath Foundation.
