McGrath Ranked as Innovative Not-For-Profit

The second annual Innovation Index has been released and ranked the McGrath Foundation as a top-five innovative Australian not-for-profit organisation, with peers rating it second.

Digital fundraising platform, GiveEasy, collaborated with Westpac and Australia Post to reveal the key findings today, ranking the McGrath Foundation as fifth from more than 1,100 Australian NFP organisations involved in the 2016 Innovation Index.

McGrath Foundation CEO, Petra Buchanan, said: ‘Culturally we are an innovation oriented charity – meaning every employee at the McGrath Foundation strives to embrace solutions that make us as dynamic and efficient as possible in achieving our mission.

From ensuring our operations are as effective as possible to improving how our nurses meet the growing needs of families experiencing breast cancer across Australia, innovation is a key part of our strategic plan.’

Research respondents were measured according to their ability to develop and deliver innovation according to seven key vectors, ranging from internal and external collaboration to openness of vision.

Respondents were also asked to vote for the NFP they believe are most innovative, an indication of how key stakeholders within the NFP space perceive innovative activity undertaken by their peers.
