Long-time McGrath Foundation corporate partner, Kumho Tyre, has recently committed to funding a McGrath Breast Care Nurse position for a period of three years.
McGrath Foundation CEO, Petra Buchanan said: ‘The McGrath Foundation would like to sincerely thank Kumho Tyre for their incredible generosity over the past seven years. This commitment to support a McGrath Breast Care Nurse position will greatly assist the local community and families experiencing breast cancer.’
‘The McGrath Foundation has supported more than 44,000 families experiencing breast cancer to date through our 110 McGrath Breast Care Nurses.’
The exact location of the McGrath Breast Care Nurse to be funded by Kumho Tyre is now under discussion.
Kumho Tyre has donated almost $800,000 to the McGrath Foundation to assist in breast cancer awareness and the provision of breast cancer nurses in Australia’s under-resourced rural areas. Their annual ‘Pink Fitters Day’ sees over 300 stores wearing pink to raise thousands of dollars.
