Catherine Britt Launches Moments With Mom

McGrath Foundation today announced the launch of its ‘Moments with Mum’ campaign, encouraging important conversations and special moments between mothers and daughters in the lead-up to Mother’s Day.

Research conducted by the Foundation found that although half of all Australian women believe that mums are best-placed to first raise breast health with their daughters, only 24 per cent had had such a conversation with their mum. And in only 12 per cent of cases was it the first conversation about breast health.

Country singer Catherine Britt has shared her family’s experience with breast cancer in a touching video. Leading up to Mother’s Day on Sunday 14 May, additional videos, featuring veteran model and television host Maggie Tabberer and her family, as well as McGrath Breast Care Nurse Samantha Burns, will be available.

The campaign features messages of encouragement and support for McGrath Breast Care Nurses and the work of the Foundation, as well as the importance of spending time and conversations with family.

In addition to the videos, McGrath Foundation has launched a Mother’s Day Gift Guide, where every gift purchased gives twice – once to Mum and again in raising funds to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia, to make life that little bit easier for families experiencing breast cancer.

The Mother’s Day Gift Guide features special offers from corporate partners contributing a percentage of proceeds to the Foundation: SAMANTHA WILLS (donating 100% of proceeds), Interflora, Goldwell, Willow Ware Australia, Baskin-Robbins, ecodownunder, King Living, Henderson’s Greeting Cards, OCosmedics, IGA, PTP and Qalo.
