The 40-tonne, eight-metre-wide, bright pink Eartheater dragline bucket was a highlight of Dig Deep for Charity 2010, a community and industry fundraising event held in Mackay, Queensland. The bucket was on its way to Norwich Park Mine when it stopped at Dig Deep to help raise funds for the McGrath Foundation.
The day featured a charity cricket match with Queensland’s hottest female cricket team, Queensland Fire, a VIP industry lunch and charity auction, and exclusive photo opportunities with the bucket for local residents, families, community groups and businesses.
All proceeds from the day went to the Foundation, and community members contributed by giving donations to the CQMS Razer ‘Pink Bucketeers’ and purchasing items throughout the day. The pink bucket raised in excess of $75,000!
