Life’s a beach - help us turn Bondi PINK!

Wednesday, 01 February 2012 10:56

Arguably the most famous beach in Australia, Bondi is turning PINK this Sunday (5 February) just for us, thanks to our Foundation Friends and Bondi Lifeguards, Andrew Reid & Corey Oliver (pictured with McGrath Foundation Ambassador & Director, Tracy Bevan)!

P1040774_-_CopyWith a weather forecast of 29 degrees, there’ll be no better place to be, so gather your friends and come down to the beach between 8am and 1pm, wearing your best pink kit. The Bondi Lifeguards will be adding a splash of pink to their famous blue shirts, with pink boardies generously donated by ZANEROBE and pink McGrath Foundation visors.

No pink in your wardrobe? Come and visit our marquee in front of Bondi Pavilion to get some pink zinc in exchange for a donation or buy some McGrath Foundation merchandise. We’ll also be selling limited edition pink ZANEROBE boardies and t-shirts, so there’s no excuse to be seen in any other colour!

Don’t worry if you can’t make it to Bondi on Sunday – you can still get involved by bidding on our ultimate ‘Bondi Experience’! The highest bidder will receive a bed & breakfast accommodation pacakage for 2 people at the Swiss Grand Resort & Spa, a two-hour Lifeguard Experience for you and a friend with Corey Oliver & Andrew Reid, and two pink McGrath Foundation gift bags including pink caps signed by Andrew and Corey. The auction closes on Saturday 11 February so click here to place your bid!

All money raised on the day and from the online auction will help fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses and increase breast awareness in young women. A big thank you to our friends at Waverley Council, ZANEROBE, Northern Suburbs Party Hire, Kracka Surfcraft Australia, Swiss Grand Resort & Spa and of course the Bondi Lifeguards, particularly Andrew and Corey, for making the day possible.

See you at the beach!
