Wednesday, 03 August 2011 12:09ELLYSE PERRY A big shout out to Ellyse, who was selected to play for the Matildas in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011 in Germany. At 20 years of age, Ellyse is now the first Australian to play in a World Cup for two different sports, having played in the Cricket World Cup too. Congratulations! |
CATHERINE COX Cath represented the Diamonds in the final of the World Netball Series in Singapore. The Diamonds pulled off a spectacular last minute win against the New Zealand Silver Ferns, with Cath’s shooting in the first half ensuring that the game was pushed into overtime. |
LISA STHALEKAR Lisa recently headed over to the UK with the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars to take part in the Quadrangular Series. They played at the home of cricket, Lords, and Lisa did her best to turn the ground pink! |
LEE FURLONG Always willing to show her support, Lee added a touch of McGrath Foundation pink while reporting on the tennis action at Wimbledon in June. Thanks Lee! |
