IGA & AUSSIE APPLES

Our friends at IGA and Aussie Apples have raised an incredible $39,790 by selling almost 199,000 kilos of Aussie Apples across Australia! Through initiatives like this, IGA has funded two part-time McGrath IGA Breast Care Nurses – one in Myrtleford (VIC) and another in Northam (WA).

NRL
The month of June was an exciting one for Rugby League fans and McGrath Foundation supporters alike, with the NRL Harvey Norman Women in League round raising over $200,000. Thank you to the NRL, Rugby League’s One Community, Harvey Norman and all the footy fans and clubs for their generous support. Thanks also to everyone who made a donation or bought a pair of our pink footy socks as part of our Pull On Your Socks fundraising initiative – we hope you played even better in pink!

NORTON
V8 Supercar Driver and Norton Ambassador, Craig Lowndes (pictured with McGrath Foundation CEO, Kylea Tink), recently stopped by our office to hand over a cheque on behalf of Norton, who raised $150,680 for the McGrath Foundation through their Norton 360 promotion. Thanks to Norton and their customers for their support! Check out Craig here.

PHOENIX TRADING
A big thank you to all the Phoenix Traders who held Butterfly Tea Parties and sold greeting cards throughout June in support of the McGrath Foundation. More than $52,000 has already been raised from the 2011 Butterfly Tea Party campaign, with donations still coming in.

 THOMPSON BROS TRANSPORT
Thanks to our friends at Thompson Bros Transport, who’ve raised over $56,000 so far for the McGrath Foundation as part of a three year campaign to raise awareness through their specially designed hot pink semitrailer, which is part of ‘Colour Me Pink’, a Dubbo community fundraising project.

 JAKE BAINES
14-year-old Jake, who competes in speedway kart racing, has painted his kart pink and has been raising money and awareness for the McGrath Foundation at each of his races throughout the year by selling our pink merchandise items and collecting donations. Jake was lucky enough to meet our Chairman and Co-Founder, Glenn McGrath, who personally thanked Jake for his fundraising efforts.

 GUNNEDAH PINK TIE BALL
A big thank you to the community of Gunnedah, NSW, who raised $30,000 at their recent Pink Tie Ball! Ashley Swain organised the event in honour of her mother, Sandra. Thanks to Ashley and everyone else involved in this event.

 RUN FOR A REASON
Ben Maddern, Joel Craddock and Nick Hayes (pictured) ran 900km from Melbourne to Sydney over 21 days – an incredible 40km (a full marathon) each day! The guys received sponsorship and donations along the way and those generous donations combined with the money raised at their end of run function resulted in a total of $50,000 donated to the McGrath Foundation. Thanks boys!
