Commonwealth Minister for Health and Ageing Nicola Roxon has thrown her support behind February’s Go The Pink Dog! fundraiser, which has raised in excess of $100,000 towards the McGrath Foundation.

"The McGrath Foundation is a leader in the fight against breast cancer and I urge people to get behind the 'Go the Pink Dog!' Campaign so they can continue their valuable work in supporting women with breast cancer," Ms Roxon said.

The Australian Government is proud to have provided the McGrath Foundation with $12 million in funding to recruit, train and employ specialist breast care nurses in 44 locations across Australia.

A further 8 greyhounds wearing the pink number eight rug raised $4,000 for the McGrath Foundation on February 24 as the Go The Pink Dog! fundraising total reached $101,000 [201 winners] after Day 24 of the month long campaign.
