Originally from British Columbia in Canada, Kim came to Australia in 1980 and completed her graduate nursing degree in 2001. Kim has experience working in practice nursing and rural nursing, as well as in women's health, indigenous health and mental health.Kim believes she is privileged to be a McGrath Breast Care Nurse and values the opportunity to support women and their families through their breast cancer experience.
"People often comment that it must be very hard to work in this field, but I have found the exact opposite to be true. Being able to walk alongside women and their families throughout their experience of breast cancer has enabled me to see an incredible side of human nature and taught me to be more thankful for everyday experiences.
“As a McGrath Breast Care Nurse, I have access to an unlimited pool of information and support through the network of McGrath Breast Care Nurses. I hope to be able to provide women diagnosed with breast cancer, and their families, with the most useful information, education and support. Ultimately, by working together, we can make a difference and improve health outcomes in rural areas."
