With the help of their iPhone, women of all ages can now take charge of their health and become more breast aware, thanks to Dr K’s Breast Checker iPhone app.Developed by Dr Kath Giles (known as Dr K), in consultation with breast health specialists from the Breast Cancer Institute as well as the McGrath Foundation and the Breast Cancer Foundation of Western Australia, Dr K’s Breast Checker is the first of its kind in Australia. It will help women conduct regular self breast checks, and will send automated reminders for monthly breast checks.
Women who download Dr K’s Breast Checker will not only be taking charge of their own health, but also supporting Australian women experiencing breast cancer and their families, as 55 cents from the sale of each Dr K’s Breast Checker app will be shared between the McGrath Foundation and the Breast Cancer Foundation of Western Australia.
