Ground breaking charity card sales – $43,000 raised for the McGrath Foundation in just one weekend!

Phoenix Trading, the world’s number one direct-selling greeting card company, has proudly raised $43,000 for the McGrath Foundation in just one weekend. The release of a special edition charity card raised $22,500 in just two minutes! 

Phoenix Trading has generously donated $1 per special edition charity Butterfly Cupcakes card sold in anticipation of the upcoming Butterfly Tea Party initiative in August. 

In response to unprecedented demand, the initial card release on Thursday 22 July saw 22,500 cards sell out in just two minutes. Phoenix Trading then released more cards early the next day to cater for the extraordinary demand, selling an additional 15,841 cards and 163 packs of pink McGrath Foundation wristbands. 

Phoenix Trading, through its independent fundraising arm, The Phoenix International Charity, has chosen the McGrath Foundation as one of their national charities for 2010. The charity originally hoped to raise $30,000 this year for the Foundation by donating a percentage of profits from card sales, as well as money raised by their Independent Phoenix Traders through their individual Butterfly Tea Parties. 

With 300 Traders already registered to host Butterfly Tea Parties throughout Australia in August, and 170 Traders already eagerly fundraising online, the Butterfly Tea Party fundraiser has already smashed its target of $30,000. The Company and its Traders are committed to raising much more over the forthcoming weeks with Butterfly Tea Parties happening across the length and breadth of the country.
