Be breast aware for the NRL Harvey Norman Women In League Round
Wednesday, 09 June 2010 13:59
The NRL’s Women in League round was launched recently, and we’re thrilled to be involved as one of Rugby League’s One Community charity partners for the next three years! There are plenty of ways for you to get involved, whether you’re an NRL fan or not.
In an exciting development, this year’s Harvey Norman Women in League round will help to spread the McGrath Foundation’s message of breast awareness. Together with One Community, we’re encouraging men and women right across Australia to pledge that they will become breast aware, with the aim of reaching 10,000 pledges. Visit the NRL One Community site or our own site today to make your pledge!
Round 16 (25-28 June) is the official Harvey Norman Women in League round, and a number of clubs will add a touch of pink to their uniforms for that round. It’ll be hard to miss the Penrith Panthers, who will once again play in a completely pink kit and transform into the Pink Panthers.
To make sure that you, the fans, don’t miss out on the pink Harvey Norman Women in League action, we’ve added a couple of hot new items to Shop Pink that will keep you warm and looking good at the footy, and support the Foundation! The limited edition McGrath Foundation Hot Pink Fleece Scarf ($10) is an absolute must-have for footy fans. With only 20,000 available, make sure you order yours today at Shop Pink! You’ll also be able to purchase the scarf at selected Round 16 NRL games.
Also new to Shop Pink are the McGrath Foundation Pink Football Socks, which are the perfect way for your whole team to show their support for the Foundation. Don’t let the name mislead you, because these socks are suitable for a variety of sports, including softball, hockey, AFL, rugby union, and of course rugby league!
