A Hole in One for the McGrath Foundation

jun10_n10The 2010 CGU Insurance Charity Golf Day was a resounding success, raising over $29,000 for the Foundation, with more to come from staff donations. Foundation Friend and cricketing legend, Michael Bevan, was among 28 teams who competed in near-perfect weather conditions at Macquarie Links International Golf Club.

Some fantastic items were auctioned off, including: an Apple iPhone; Callaway Golf Bag, Buggy and Balls; signed and framed NRL jerseys; $250 Caltex Star Cards; a suite an ANZ Stadium for an NRL game; and a framed McGrath Foundation Polo Shirt signed by Glenn McGrath, Simon Katich, Michael Bevan, Michael Slater, Terry Kennedy, Paul Wade, Stuart Clarke, Brett Lee, Ross Reynolds, Jim Maxwell, Len Pascoe and Brett Papworth.

Special thanks to the event’s organisers, Melissa Stoffberg and Sally Anderson, as well as all the sponsors.
