The Pink Trailer Hits the Road

A pink Drake trailer turned heads and raised money for the McGrath Foundation as it made its way across Australia from Brisbane to Perth (via Sydney and Melbourne, Adelaide and Kalgoorlie).
After commissioning the 50-tonne low loader from Drake Trailers, Gavin Transport dedicated the trailer to the McGrath Foundation, using the official logos and colours. The trailer and will remain in McGrath Foundation pink for its working life, and be used for future fundraising initiatives.
Various fundraising activities were held throughout Australia as the Pink Trailer made its journey across the country. An ‘Honour Role’ panel on the Truck offered supporting businesses a lifetime logo for a donation of $5,000 or more. In addition, the trailer spent three days at the Melbourne Truck Show, whose organisers agreed to support the event by promoting it in their official show brochures and raising funds at their Black Tie Gala Night.
Adelaide industry identity James Contracting organised a fundraising function in Adelaide, while Westrac organised a similar function in Kalgoorlie. On 26 March, to mark the arrival of the Pink Truck and Trailer in Perth, Gavin Transport hosted a black tie dinner at the WACA, which was attended by our very own Tracy Bevan.
We’re thrilled to announce that the various fundraising initiatives involving the Pink Trailer and Truck raised a total of $400,000 for the Foundation!
The McGrath Foundation would especially like to thank Eamonn and Julie Gavin from Gavin Transport, and John Drake and Kerry Brunton and the team from Drake Trailers, for all the hard work they put in to pull off such a wonderful fundraising activity.
