Busting to a break world record – The World’s Largest Bra Chain - Bundaberg, Queensland

Wednesday, 14 October 2009 13:35

oct09_bra.jpgBundaberg, a small town in South-East Queensland, has broken the Guinness World Record for the longest ever bra chain. The chain consisted of 178,000 bras weighing over 40 tonnes and stretched a whopping 65 kms, breaking the previous record by 11kms!

Aimed at increasing breast awareness in the local community and across Australia, the attempt took over three years to organise, with bras been collected from all over Australia.

Entry to the attempt and other fundraising activities raised over $10,000 for the Foundation. Everyone here at the Foundation would like to say a massive thank you to event organiser, Rob Bauer, for his hard work and dedication as well as to everyone who contributed or put their support behind this initiative.
