Meet Karen Miles – McGrath Inghams Breast Care Nurse, Brisbane, Qld

Karen has been employed as a McGrath Ingham Breast Care Nurse, thanks to the generous support of Inghams.

Karen has been nursing for a number of years and became an accredited breast care nurse in 2001, after completing her formal training in the United Kingdom.

Karen passionately believes that specialist breast care nurses are ideally placed to ensure women and their families have the smoothest possible breast cancer experience.

“Many people have commented that my job must be depressing. I tell them it is the opposite. I see women at their lowest point and help guide them through their experience and come out the other end often stronger than what they were before. I am fortunate and humbled to be part of that experience. The best job in the world is mine.”
