Glenn tickled pink at public’s generosity – Elders Pink Tie Ball, Armidale, NSW
In June, Glenn McGrath joined 400 Armidale residents at the Elders Pink Tie Ball. A raging success the ball raised over $25,000 for the Foundation through ticket sales and an auction which included a new Volkswagen Beetle.
In his speech as the Guest of Honour, Glenn spoke of his amazement at how the Australian public continues to open their hearts to the Foundation saying, “the amount of support and money raised in the last 12 months has been incredible.”
Much to the delight of guests, Glenn also took some time to make predictions on the outcome of the 2009 Ashes series. You’ll be pleased to know he’s predicting a win for Australia. Let’s hope he’s right!
