Into its third year, the 2009 XXXX Gold Beach Cricket Tri-Nations Series involved some of the best former cricketers including Alan Border, Jason Gillespie, Michael Kaprowicx and the Foundations very own Michael Bevan. With such a strong team, Australia were keen to seize the trophy back from the Kiwi’s.

It was not meant to be however, with the South Africans stealing the title continuing their trend of domination this summer. The Aussie defeat softened however by the $18,000 raised for the Foundation through ticket sales and donations during matches.
