Schools In: Local schools across Australia raise valuable funds for the McGrath Foundation
Over the past few months, local primary and high schools across Australia have been fundraising for the McGrath Foundation. A big thank you to each and every student and teacher who participated in these initiatives – some of their tremendous work is mentioned below.
QLD
- St Hilda’s School raised $2500 from a Pink Clothing day.
- St Augustines College raised $869 from donations and the sale of pink and white lollies and chocolate.
- Humbybong State School raised $758 from the Student Council’s Pink Day.
- Aspley Early Learning Centre raised $500 from a fundraising day.
NSW
- Billabong High School held a pink day, raising $1388.
- Orange High School students washed windscreens, collected donations from motorists at traffic lights and held a cake stall, raising $1100 for the Foundation.
- Grays Point Public School held a Pink Top Lip Day, complete with pink milk, cupcakes and wristbands, raising $828 for the Foundation.
- Cronulla South Public School raised $692 through collections.
- Erskine Park High School raised $504.
- The Henry Lawson High School raised $500 from donations.
- Karangi Public School raised $500 for the McGrath Foundation and National Breast Cancer Foundation with their ‘Pink Day’.
- Junee North Public School held a Pink Day, complete with pink hairspray and donuts, raising almost $400 for the Foundation.
- Sawtell Public School wore pink in July, raising $185.
- West Dubbo Primary School raised $100 by ‘thinking pink’, wearing pink to school and painting their faces pink for the cause.
- St Andrews Christian School were pretty in pink in July in exchange for a gold coin donation, raising $53.
VIC
- Tumbarumba Primary School raised $430 from their Pink Day and movie night.
