Cricket bat auction raises money

Cricket bat auction raises moneyA CRICKET bat signed by the 2004 Australian and New Zealand cricket teams was auctioned at the 2008 Victorian Young Auctioneers Competition recently with the proceeds benefiting the McGrath Foundation. The auction was a part of the Australian Livestock and Property Agents Association and the annual competition was held on Thursday 13 March 2008. The bat, donated by Cricket Australia was organised by former Hamilton journalist, Lachie Patterson and carried the signatures of Glenn McGrath, Shane Warne and Adam Gilchrist.
