Singer dares to care

Jane Kellaway is on the lookout for band members to help her in her latest venture. The Narellan Vale country music singer recently decided to donate money from her album sales to the McGrath Foundation.

She and her husband Fred had been looking to contribute to a cause "that means something" ever since their good friend Alanna Thompson died from breast cancer. Kellaway, whose grandmother also died from breast cancer, agreed to have about $5 from each sale of her album For Crying Out Loud to go to the foundation.

Kellaway said Jane McGrath's death in June pushed herself and Fred to contact the foundation and get involved. "When Jane McGrath died, Fred said he knew what we could do. We're Christians. We believe God gives you talents to use for the betterment of things. "The whole reason I got started singing was to put a smile on someone's face." Now all Kellaway needs is a band to back her at events and charity benefits for the foundation.

Jane Kellaway's album For Crying Out Loud can be bought at janekellaway.com.au If you would like to join her band: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
