The Observer Boyne Tannum HookUp is and annual family fishing event held at Bray Park, Boyne Island Central Queensland every Queens Birthday weekend for the past 13 years.

This is now the largest family fishing event in Australia and each year the committee choose a charity worthy of its funding.

Darryl Branthwaite who is the publicity officer and founding member informed the McGrath foundation of their keenness to assist with funding as most of the committee had been touched by Cancer in one way or another.

Together with a $10,000 pledge and funds raised from the sale of a pair of Gillies’ pink gloves their donation came in at a whopping $13,200.
