Bead it for boobs

BEADS and boobs may seem a frivolous combination but not so for a group of inspiring women in the Bay. After meeting on a recent Saturday, they came up with a beading project - named Beach Babes Beading for Boobies or BBB4Boobies - to raise money for the McGrath Foundation.

"We are making beaded squares, measuring one-and-a-half inches each, which will be sewn together to form a small quilt, which will be framed and auctioned off at a function some time early in the New Year."

"We are extremely excited about this local project and we welcome anyone who would like to bead their own individual square and have it immortalised in a work of art, while at the same time doing something very positive towards helping those with breast cancer.
