About Us - Board Biographies


Jane McGrath – Founder and Chairman of the Board
After her recovery from breast cancer in 2002, Jane McGrath co-founded the McGrath Foundation with her cricketing husband, Glenn. Jane experienced firsthand the benefits of a specialist breast care nurse throughout her treatment which became the principal influence for the Foundation’s creation.

Today, Jane’s vision continues to drive the Foundation’s objectives to raise money to place breast care nurses throughout Australia as well as continuing to educate young women on the benefits of being ‘breast aware’.
Tracy Bevan – General Manager
Tracy Bevan helped set up the McGrath Foundation when her friend Jane McGrath was diagnosed with breast cancer and is now the Foundation’s General Manager.

Tracy is dedicated to raising public awareness of breast cancer and how to be ‘breast aware’ as well as funding specialist breast care nurses throughout Australia.

Tracy was born in England and moved to Australia when she married cricketing legend Michael Bevan in 1997.
Terry Brown - Board Member
Terry Brown was responsible for the initial set up of the McGrath Foundation, calling on his wealth of experience in general business law, property, asset protection and estate planning to do so. Terry is partner and founder of Southern Cross Lawyers which provides legal services for the Foundation. A solicitor since 1978, Terry is also a Notary Public.
Peter Tracey – Board Member
A key member of the McGrath Foundation Board, Peter Tracey manages the McGrath Foundation’s charitable donations and other financial matters. Since 2003, Peter has been a partner at TRACE Business Advisers and Chartered Accountants in Sydney. Peter is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Michaela Durrant – Nurse and Funding Manager
Michaela joined the Foundation in early 2008 as the Nurse and Funding Manager, implementing all aspects of the Foundation’s support to breast care nurses across Australia. She has worked in the charity sector for the past six years in a variety of roles in both the United Kingdom and Zambia.
Lesley Morris – Office Manager
Lesley Morris joined the Foundation as Office Manager in early 2007. She deals with all aspects of running a busy office plus fundraising and events organisation.
